Lab Members

Aqilah McCane
She/Her/Hers
Dr. Aqilah McCane is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Neuroscience at the Oregon National Primate Research Center. Her research interests include addiction, adolescence, and behavioral models of alcohol misuse. Outside the lab, she enjoys training Brazilian jiu jitsu, hiking, manga and spending time with her children.

Michael McCane
He/Him/His
Michael is a person who likes dogs.

Nick Chernov
He/Him/His
Nick Chernov is interested in developing new methods and techniques for applications in neuroscience. Some of his past work includes combining optical imaging methods (such as intrinsic optical imaging) with optical stimulation (infrared neural stimulation and optogenetics) to investigate visual processing in nonhuman primates. He is currently working on implementing a method for wireless electrophysiology in awake behaving macaques. He holds an MS degree in Biomedical Engineering and a PhD in Physiology from Dartmouth College.
